Remembrance Sunday 14th November 2021

Following a donation from St David's to The Royal British Leigon through their coordinator, Richard Kendrick, our Remembrance poppies were proudly displayed along the promenade

 

 

"View Through My Window"

 

Back in November 2021 our residents took part in a competition run by Age Cymru/cARTrefu named "View through my window" and our entries can now be viewed on CARTrefu's website virtual exhibition. Please click on the following link to view our wonderful resident's artistry! Virtual Exhibition

Queens Jubilee 4th June 2022

On Saturday 4th June we held a Plant a Tree for The Jubilee Garden Party.The amazing "Sparkles" the pony paid us a visit, and brought so much joy to all! We held a Tree planting ceremony as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) which is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee which invites people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”. We purchased a plaque from Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) All plaques bought from RBLI are made by Armed Forces veterans. For more information on this project please click here

We are pleased to announce we raised over £250, so thank you for all your generous donations, which will all go towards our Residents Fund.​We'd like to thank all of those who attended, everyone had a marvellous day, check out our gallery for some pictures of the day.

King Charles Coronation Tea Party

On Saturday 6th May 2023 we we held a  Tea Party in honour of the coronation of King Charles III. Our chef Andrew created a beautiful union jack flag cake and an afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls and treats were laid out for our residents and their families and friends to enjoy. We held a raffle in aid of our residents fund and we will post the amount raised as soon as the count is complete! ​We'd like to thank all of you who attended, everyone had a royally fun day, check out our gallery for some photographs of the fun we had!

@talkolderpeople have published a new guide in conjuction with the Office of the Public Guardian in relation to Lasting Powers of Attourney (LPA)

The guide is intended to help people across England and Wales to better understand the importance of having a LPA to manage their finances, health and welfare. It also provides answers to frequently asked questions about LPA and can help to ensure that future decisions in relation to finances, health and welfare are safeguarded.
