     Location

St David’s Residential Home is ideally located in the seaside town of Rhyl, less than a mile from the town centre which has a variety of shops, cafes and transport links.

We are located opposite the beach and promenade. There are several local bus services accessible from the local bus station (in the town centre) and along the promenade which is directly opposite the home. The home is in close proximity to the Pavilion Theatre and a local pub/restaurant and cinema. There are several churches in close proximity that are accessible to residents as needed.

      Wifi/Telephone

We are able to offer free Wi-Fi internet access to residents, visitors and health professionals. The access code can be obtained from the office on request.

Residents have access to our external telephone lines. These can be accessed using the mobile handsets located on each floor of the home. Zoom/Skyep calls can also be arranged upon request.

Arrangements can be made for a British Telecom private line telephone and digital television services, to be installed in an residents bedroom on request. (charges apply)

     Your room

We encourage you to bring personal items such as photographs, ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture with you.

     Call system

For your peace of mind, your room is fitted with a call system enabling you to call for help from staff at all times. Do not be afraid to call for assistance, particularly at night, should you require help. The call box will be located within your reach and you will be shown how to operate it.

     Social areas

Throughout the home there are plenty of places you can enjoy catching up with family and friends. We have three communal lounges available; a spaciious, comfortable lounge on the ground floor with a wide screen television, piano, comfortable seating and a panoramic view of the Rhyl Memorial Gardens and promenade. Our recently refurbished "Seaside Lounge" which is located on the first floor and our bright and welcoming "Garden Lounge" which is located on the basement level, with French doors leading to a safe and secure garden area with beautiful plants, a pergola and sensory garden path with water feature.

We also have a light, spacious separate dining room. All communal areas are central heated and have been decorated and carpeted with dementia friendly colours and surfaces, including signage where appropriate. Our residents are encouraged to use these communal areas; equally, residents who choose to stay in their own rooms are free to do so.
